Veteran AODA Access Counselor

On April 22, 2024, Walk by Faith Counseling began offering walk-in addiction treatment services for Wisconsin Veterans, made possible through a generous grant awarded for one year. This Veterans Mental Health Ancillary Treatment Program grant is part of Governor Evers’ $10 million investment to support Wisconsin Veterans, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

As this grant period comes to a close, we want to express our deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve those who have served our country. Grant-funded services will officially conclude on March 29, 2025; however, we remain committed to ensuring a smooth transition. To that end, we will continue wrapping up counseling services for veterans through April 18, 2025.

Since launching this initiative, our onsite Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor has provided critical support through Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse (AODA) assessments and individual counseling, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse (CBISA) and Motivational Interviewing.
