About Me

Hi, I’m Joe. I’m a clinically-educated pastoral counselor dedicated to helping individuals and couples radically improve their lives by teaching them to apply biblical principles and to practice new skills and insights as they explore their story. I am experienced in providing counseling for depression, anxiety, trauma, leader development, and relational wellness. I am most experienced in the field of sex addiction and betrayal trauma. I personally know what it is like to be the addict and to be the one betrayed, and am uniquely experienced to give empathy and instruction for both. I offer a safe place where we can partner together on reaching your goals. You will be welcomed with nonjudgmental curiosity and compassion. 

I’m passionate about leading others to be free from the patterns that hold their lives back from being all that it could be. I believe the Bible, coupled with sound counsel, provides the means to put off these patterns, change the ways we think, and to embrace a new life in Christ. I’m grateful to offer my ten plus years of experience counseling others to those seeking the same. 

I am a former full-time pastor, recovering sexual addict and former Army officer and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. I’m am the founder and developer of a clinically-informed biblically-based sex addiction recovery program called Freedom Fighters. Hundreds of men and women have found victory over addiction, restored relationships, and an unshakable brotherhood that propels their lives into deeper meaning and purpose. 

In addition to counseling, I enjoy speaking and training on sexual addiction, trauma, and biblical recovery, as well as helping leaders grow. It would be my honor to learn your story, hear your goals, and build a path together to something amazing.
